"A Celebration of Broome County's Environment"

(BINGHAMTON-NY) The Broome County Environmental Management Council (EMC), a citizen’s advisory group to County government, invites amateur photographers and local high school students to submit photographs of Broome County’s environment for the 2010 Joyce K.L. Smith Environmental Photography Show & Competition. The purpose is to raise awareness about Broome County’s natural and cultural environments.

Entrants may submit up to three (3) photographs for consideration in five (5) categories: wildlife, plant life, natural landscape, cultural landscape, and people in action. A panel of professionals will select one (1) winner and up to five (5) runners-up in each category.  The best submission from a local high school student will also receive recognition.  The entry deadline is Wednesday, March 10.
